Description The Polysher™ is a desktop post processing unit designed to remove layer lines from PolySmooth™ and PolyCast™ prints. The Polysher™ uses Polymaker’s Layer-Free™ technology to create a fine mist of alcohol which evenly smooths the model.
Can the Polysher™ be used with other solvent than IPA? No, the nebulizer is designed and calibrated to only work with IPA, moreover other solvents may damage the Polysher™. The Polysher™ will not work with PLA.
How often do I need to change the nebulizer?
The nebulizer membrane in the Polysher™ may develop micro-cracks over time, which can reduce the density and height of the alcohol mist. To maintain optimal performance, we recommend:
Monitoring mist quality: If you notice a drop in mist density or reach, it’s time to replace the nebulizer.
Typical lifespan: Each nebulizer lasts approximately 100 hours of polishing time under normal use.The Polysher™ comes with 2 nebulizers included, and additional replacements are available here (insert link).
> Regular replacement ensures consistent smoothing quality and extends the life of your device.
Does the Polysher™ Use a Heat Source to Work?
No. For added safety, the Polysher™ does not use heat to smooth prints.
Instead, it uses a nebulizer to generate a fine mist of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) made of micro-droplets. This mist gently and evenly smooths the surface of compatible 3D printed parts without the need for heating.
> ⚠️ Note: The Polysher™ does not heat the IPA or rely on vapor polishing. This cold-mist method is safer and more controlled for desktop use.
