PolyTerra™️ PLA is a next-generation bioplastic-based 3D printing filament, engineered from the ground up to offer enhanced ease of use, excellent print quality, reliable performance, and faster printing speeds. It’s also a sustainable material, naturally sourced with the environment in mind.

PolyTerra™ Dual-Gradient PLA combines our Dual Color and Gradient Transition technologies. Each side of the spool features the same gradient—offset by a few meters—creating a beautiful, dynamic color shift throughout your prints.

Is PolyTerra™ PLA Biodegradable?

The short answer is: not in the conventional sense — it won’t degrade if simply thrown on the side of the road.

PolyTerra™ PLA requires specific conditions, such as those found in industrial composting facilities, to properly break down.

We’ve developed a formula that degrades faster than standard PLA, while still delivering excellent printability. This marks a meaningful step toward improving the end-of-life sustainability of PLA materials in the 3D printing industry.

Printing & Drying Settings – PolyTerra™ PLA

Nozzle Temperature: 190°C – 230°C

Bed Temperature: 25°C – 60°C

Print Speed: 30 mm/s – 70 mm/s

Cooling Fan: ON

🔁 Retraction Settings

Direct Drive Extruders

Retraction Distance: 1 mm

Retraction Speed: 20 mm/s

Bowden (Indirect) Extruders

Retraction Distance: 3 mm

Retraction Speed: 40 mm/s

💨 Drying Settings

Temperature: 55°C

Duration: 6 hours

(Drying is only necessary if the filament has absorbed moisture.)

⚠️ Note:
PolyTerra™ PLA is slightly more abrasive than standard PLA. For long prints or frequent use, a hardened steel nozzle is recommended to avoid excessive wear.
