Can I use a 0.4mm nozzle with Starlight PLA?

Yes, absolutely.
Unlike our Galaxy PLA, which contains actual glitter particles that may clog smaller nozzles, Starlight PLA uses an ultra-fine shimmer powder. This powder creates the sparkling effect without increasing the risk of jamming a 0.4 mm nozzle and is non-abrasive.

> Note: Some users have even successfully printed with a 0.2 mm nozzle using Starlight PLA.

Printing and Drying Settings:

Printing Temperature: 190°C – 230°C

Bed Temperature: 25°C – 60°C

Printing Speed: 40 mm/s – 60 mm/s

Cooling Fan: ON

Retraction Settings

Direct Drive:

Retraction Distance: 1 mm

Retraction Speed: 20 mm/s

Indirect (Bowden) Drive:

Retraction Distance: 3 mm

Retraction Speed: 40 mm/s

Drying Settings

Temperature: 55°C

Duration: 6 hours

> (Only necessary if the filament has absorbed moisture)

How Strong is PolyLite™ PLA?

PolyLite™ PLA is formulated using a high molecular weight PLA from NatureWorks, making it one of the most rigid PLA materials on the market.

For detailed mechanical properties such as Young’s Modulus and Bending Strength, please refer to the Technical Data Sheet (TDS). These values represent the material’s stiffness and can be directly compared with other filaments in our portfolio.
