PolyLite™ PLA-CF is a carbon fiber reinforced PLA filament that combines the ease of printing of standard PLA with the added strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability provided by carbon fiber.
Can My Printer Print PolyLite™ PLA-CF?
Yes—as long as your printer is equipped with a hardened nozzle (such as stainless steel, hardened steel, or ruby-tipped). PolyLite™ PLA-CF contains abrasive carbon fiber particles that can quickly wear down a standard brass nozzle.
> 🔧 Tip: A 0.6 mm or larger nozzle is also recommended to reduce the risk of clogging and achieve smoother prints with composite filaments.
Printing Settings
Nozzle Temperature: 210°C – 230°C
Bed Temperature: 30°C – 70°C
Printing Speed: 25 – 60 mm/s
Cooling Fan: ON
Retraction Settings
Direct Drive Extruder:
Retraction Distance: 1 mm
Retraction Speed: 20 mm/s
Bowden (Indirect) Extruder:
Retraction Distance: 3 mm
Retraction Speed: 40 mm/s
> ⚠️ Note: A hardened nozzle is required due to the abrasive nature of carbon fiber.
Drying Settings
Temperature: 55°C
Duration: 6 hou.
PolyLite™ PLA-CF contains 8% carbon fiber by weight. This optimized loading provides improved rigidity, dimensional stability, and surface finish while maintaining good printability.
